Condominium regeneration

It is said that there are nearly 6 million condominiums in Japan that have been rapidly supplied since the 1960s. Although the degree of aging cannot be measured by the age of the building alone, it is predicted that the number of properties over 30 years old, which is generally regarded as a guideline for aged condominiums, will exceed 1 million units in 2011. These regeneration methods are divided into three stages: A repair, B large-scale repair, and C rebuilding. Profitability is necessary as well as technical matters. As real estate valuations continue to decline, legal development and financial support will also be needed.
