What is the procedure for constructing a building in Japan?

■建築確認(kenchiku-kakunin) ☞ building permission
■指定確認検査機関(shitei-kakunin-kensa-kikan) ☞ designated confirmation and inspection body
■地方公共団体(chiho-kokyo-dantai) ☞ local government
■検査済証(kensa-sumisho) ☞ building inspection certificate
*Before any construction begins, building permission must be received from relevant local government or a designated confirmation and inspection body.
*Upon completion, building in compliance with the law receive a building inspection certificate.

◇仮設建築物(kasetsu-kenchikubutsu) ☞ temporary building
◇仮設工事(kasetsu-koji) ☞ temporary work
◇仮設費(kasetsu-hi) ☞ temporary works expenses
◇片流れ屋根(katanagare-yane) ☞ shed-roof
◇片開き戸(single swing) ☞ single swing
◇片廊下型集合住宅(kata-roka-gata-shugo-jutaku) ☞ multiple dwelling house of gallery type
